Weddings

Marriage is a joyous occasion and one to be celebrated. We welcome exploring the possibility of holding your wedding ceremony in one of our churches.

Within our Cluster Communities we have two sacred spaces that are perfect for what you may be hoping for. St Mary’s and St Christopher’s offers a warm and inviting space for family and friends to gather and witness the promises and commitment that you as a couple will be making before God.

If you have never visited our churches before please feel free to give us a call and come and have a look around. There are also virtual tours on our website that can assist you in your information gathering.

Your Wedding package includes:

  • Preparation and use of the Church on the day of the ceremony
  • Clergy for the ceremony
  • Two planning meetings and rehearsal with clergy
  • Organist
  • Background flowers
  • Preparation of official paperwork and documents
  • Use of grounds for photos after ceremony

The total cost of the Wedding Package is: $1,250

How to book…

Contact the Parish Priest on (02) 4933 5302 or complete the booking form at the bottom of this page. A non-refundable deposit of $300 is required to book and secure your chosen date. This payment can be made in person or as a direct deposit. Whilst the deposit is non-refundable it is transferable should you need to change the date. The balance of your package will be invoiced closer to the date and must be paid prior to your wedding. Once you have booked you will attend 2 marriage preparation meetings and a rehearsal. The first meeting will be several months prior to your wedding ceremony where official paperwork will be completed, (Notice of Intended Marriage (Form 13). The earliest that you can lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage (Form 13) is 18 months prior to the wedding date and no less than 1 month before. At this time you can start to plan your ceremony with the clergy. They can give suggestions about readings and music.

Legal Requirements

All official documentation is arranged by the clergy who will celebrate your marriage. You will need to apply to the Office of Births Deaths and Marriages for your Registered Marriage Certificate after your wedding ceremony. You will also need to produce your original birth certificates and photo ID at your first planning meeting so the priest can verify.
